Would you like to know in few very simple steps how to make a chia pudding with vegan blueberry yogurt ? Well, you are in the right place!
You have a great variety of choices to combine a taste to another one: in this recipe I have decided to pull chia seeds and blueberry yogurt together, obviously vegan. Have you ever tasted a chia pudding?! Don’t tell me you haven’t done it! If really you didn’t eat it in all your life, I would advice you to rush to a supermarket (even if it’s two a.m. you have no excuses, you can go to a supermarket opened 24 hours in which you can find bio-vegan products), buy ingredients I will tell you now and start to make one immediately.
Do you think it will be complicated? Absolutely not!
On the contrary, it’s very easy and you can make it following few simple steps! Before writing the recipe, I want to give you some news about this miraculous ingredient of vegetable cooking.
Already known during the precolombian age, chia seed derives from a floreal plant, such as “Salvia hispanica”, whose beneficial properties were already widely acknowledged and particularly appreciated by Mayas and Aztecs population. It’s believed than the Mayas used chia seeds during religious ceremonies as propitiatory offers to curry favor with divinities. Aztecs, instead, used them to draw strenght to fight during battles.
As regards nutritional properties, chia seeds have a lot of beneficial qualities. For example, think that they have a calcium quantity 4 or 5 times higher than cow milk (remember that this milk contains also lactose, a lot of satured fats and bad cholesterol LDL which are dangerous for human health). They are full of antioxidant (chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, quercetin, kaempferol) which are not only necessary not to inalterate fats contained in chia seed, but also to fight free radicals and so slow down aging. Vitamin C cointained in them is 7 times higher than the quantity you can find in oranges: this is an important aspect because, as all people know nowadays, vitamin C plays an essential role to prevent and cure cancer. Finally, chia seeds have a high quantity of iron, potassium, selenium, zinc and magnesium… in addition to vitamins of A, B and E groups.
One of chia seed’s qualities I love more is its high digestibility: it depends on the fact that, as in this particular case, it produces a gelatinous beneficial substance for all the digestive system. Infact, this natural gel stimulates intestine cleanliness implementing its functioning.
And now, let’s go to the recipe!

After, you will see how the mixture will be compact at the end of 20 – 25 minutes of waiting. You will pour into a glass to make the first layer of chia pudding.

TO GARNISH: The gasket can vary according to your personal desires. In my case, I have chosen to decorate it with a layer of oatmeal (I love it), above it I have put the content of a pot of vegan blueberry yogurt and finally on the surface I have used blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and poppy seeds.
If you want, you can put it in the fridge for 10 minutes and serve it as a fresh dessert.
